The Shawnee Youth Coalition

Youth Speak Out Youth Speak Out gives youth an opportunity to voice their concerns to influential adults in their community. This is a one-day, countywide event, and students from many schools give speeches to a panel of adults, such as business leaders, principals, and government officials, who have the power to initiate change. The youth who give speeches recognize a problem they see and then offer tenable solutions. Youth Speak Out events have had success in other counties, too, and are a great way to empower and motivate youth and adults alike.
